Dorothy Trotter, 77, of Spearfish, SD, died Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at Rapid City Regional Hospital.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Whitewood, SD, with Pastor Steve Agan officiating.

Dorothy was born September 6, 1931 to George and Jeanette (Dunn) Robinson in Omaha, NE, where she was raised. She married Floyd Robinson and to this union two children were born, Ray and Vi. The couple later divorced. She married Robert Mattingly in Omaha and they had four children, Jim, Sharon, Kathy and Dorothy. The couple lived in various communities throughout Nebraska. She was married to Douglas Ford and lived in Omaha before moving to Yankton, SD. On November 26, 1991 she married Raymond Trotter in Yankton and the couple moved to Spearfish in the early 1990s where they have resided since.

Dorothy enjoyed crocheting, knitting, baking, cooking and spending time with her kids and grandkids.

Dorothy is survived by her children: Ray Robinson of Lincoln, NE, Vi Price of Yankton, Jim (Chris) Mattingly of Omaha, Kathy (John) Skaggs of Whitewood, and Dorothy Wuebben of Sioux Falls, SD, 25 grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and very special friends, who the family would like to thank, Darren Donat and family.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Raymond, daughter Sharon Jones, grandson Justin, two brothers, Georgie and Donald.
