Doris E. Gross, 96, Deadwood, SD, died Thursday, December 10, 2015, at the Lead-Deadwood Regional Hospital.
Doris was born May 9, 1919 to Edward and Emma (Zeeck) Kludt at Yale, SD. She resided here until she married Peter Gross December 21, 1936 at Salem, SD. To this union was born Donald, Karen and Eileen. The couple made their home in Huron, SD until 1952, at which time they moved to Deadwood, SD.
She was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church for 65 years.
Doris will be missed by her son, Donald P. Gross and his family; her daughter, Eileen Iverson and her family; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and two little great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter, her daughter, Karen, parents and all her brothers and sisters and grandson Christopher Bigelow.
Visitation will be from 3:00 to 5:00 PM, Sunday, December 13, 2015, at the Lead-Deadwood Memorial Chapel, Lead, SD. Graveside service will be at 10:00 AM, Monday, December 14, 2015 at Oakridge Cemetery, Deadwood, SD.
