Doris Jean Dunton, 91 of Spearfish, SD passed away Saturday, February 9, 2019 at Spearfish Canyon Healthcare in Spearfish.

Doris was born September 1, 1927 to Floyd and Hester Weaver in Terra Haute, Indiana. She spent much of her childhood in Indiana along with her two sisters. She later moved to Edwards, IL, where she met and married Robert Dunton. They were together for 69 years until his passing in 2011. She raised five children; Robert, Shirley, Linda, James and Roger. Doris was an active partner in the family farm. She was a member of the Red Hat Society and TOPS.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Robert.

She is survived by her children; Bob of Pekin, IL, Shirley of Las Vegas, NV, Linda of Spearfish, James of Denver, CO and Roger of Hebron, IL. She was a loving grandmother of 10 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11:00am, Friday, February 15, 2019 at Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel in Spearfish with burial to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.
