Donna Ahr, 95 of Lead, died Monday, July 16, 2012 at the David M. Dorsett Healthcare Center.

Memorial Mass will be at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Lead with a rosary service beginning at 9:30 A.M. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St. Patrick's Catholic Church and Alzheimer's Association.

Donna was born on January 1, 1917 to Adam and Mare (Perpich) Racich in Lead. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Lead, serving as the secretary for almost 35 years, a very active member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church serving as a Eucharistic Minister, Lector, choir member and helping with the CCD program. She enjoyed reading, sewing, rosary plants and flowers and bowling league.

Survivors include her daughter, Mary Ann Schumacher of St. Peters, MO; sons, Frank (Polly) Ahr of Houston, TX and Tom (Julie) Ahr of San Antonio, TX; eight grandchildren, Chip (Maria) Geffre of Moscow, ID, Terry Geffre of Moscow, ID Karen (Tim) Miller of Harris, MN, Kathy (Gary) Mueller of St. Charles, MO, Suzanne (Ed) Gaddie of St. Charles, MO and Chris Ahr of Pensacola, FL; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Thomas Ahr, Sr., daughter, Margot Ekstrom, two sons-in-law, Jack Schumacher and Glenn Ekstrom; grandson Russ Geffre; three brothers and two sisters.
