September 12, 1953 – March 29, 2024
Donald H. Quenzer of Central City, SD, joined his Heavenly Father, wife Linda Quenzer, parents Evelyn and Henry, and friends after a short hospital stay at the age of 70, on March 29th, 2024.
Donald was born in Mobridge, South Dakota, on September 12th, 1953. The second of four children born to Henry and Evelyn (Fjeldheim) Quenzer. He attended Pollock School, Deadwood School, and later received his GED. Baptized at Pollock Lutheran Church. He married Linda Uhrig, on February 22nd, 1975, at Shepherd of the Hills, Lead, SD. He worked as a miner and logger until he retired in 2023.
Donald was a son, husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend with a zest for life. He loved cars, pickups, boats, motorcycles, and big logging trucks. Many happy memories of the boys working on something pertaining to vehicles in the garage. Camping and boating at Orman Dam with so many family and friends. He was a jokester and had a special wink when he was up to something. He loved music and parties and enjoyed the life he was given.
Donald is survived by children Tanya Pzinski (Stanley) of Gillette WY, Jake Quenzer (Cassie) of Central City SD, Jessica Quenzer (Jeremy) of Lead SD; grandchildren Makayla, Paige, Cy, Jett, Kaeler, Keegan, Cooper, and Shelbee; sister Kathy Pierce (Ronnie), brother Chucky Quenzer (Donna), sister Tammy Ehnes (Kyle).
Donald was preceded in death by his wife Linda Quenzer, parents Henry and Evelyn Quenzer and in-laws Elton and Agnes Uhrig.
Memorial services will be at 1:00 PM on April 5, 2024 at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Lead.
A reception will be held at Lumpy's Casino in Central City following the service.
