Donald "Jimmy" William Proctor, 82 of Hulett, WY passed away on February 10, 2016 at Ft. Meade VA Medical Center.
Jimmy was born on February 2, 1934. When he was 12 years old he became active in rodeo and eventually rode saddle bronc and bulls when he got older. He served in the US Army during the Korean War as a Cook and Pastry Chef from 1954 to 1955. The following year, on September 28, 1956, Virginia Gail Berger agreed to be his wife. In the fall of 1959, they were blessed with their first child, Jim Dale. They called the Gas Hills near Riverton home for a few months. They soon moved to the Hauber Mine and their second son, Jay Dee was born. They lived in Lead, SD for a short period before they moved to Hulett permanently. Jimmy worked for Homestake Exploration taking water samples and drilling over a five state area causing him to be away from home. He also drove probe truck for Nuclear Dynamics and worked at the Oshoto Plant, until closing. He worked for the Town of Hulett until he retired. His retirement was cutting wood in the fall, shoveling snow in the winter and mowing lawns in the summer.
Jimmy is survived by his two sons, Jim Dale his wife, Pam and their son, Trent and Jay Dee his wife, Kim and their son, Peyton; three siblings, Richard, Bobbie Lou "Tiny" and Larry; and many nieces and nephews. His wife, Gail, parents Richard and Mutt and sister, Shirley preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM on Monday, February 15, 2016 at the Hulett Civic Center in Hulett. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in Oshoto.
