Dianne Renee Leonhardt, 71, of Spearfish, SD, died Friday, October 28, 2016, at Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD.

Dianne was born November 7, 1944, to Daniel E. and Gladys R. (Diede) Phillips in Miller, SD. She was raised and attended school in Miller and graduated from high school in Aberdeen, SD. She married Floyd Leonhardt in Aberdeen and the couple farmed in the Groton, SD, area for many years before moving to Spearfish in 1981. Dianne moved to Minneapolis, MN, in 1997, where she worked for PolarFab (Polar Semiconductor) for ten years. She returned to Spearfish in 2008.
Dianne enjoyed fishing and camping, creating birthday and Christmas cards for loved ones and friends, writing poetry which included publishing her own book of poems entitled "Talking With My Lord", traveling around Spearfish on her scooter, and sharing stories with anyone who would listen.

Dianne dearly loved the Lord and was a member of Hillsview Church of the Nazarene in Spearfish. We believe Dianne is with our Lord in Heaven and we will see her again.

Dianne is survived by her daughters, Tammera (Loren) Geske of Rapid City, SD, Tracy (Jeff) Fischer of Brimfield, IL, Teresa (Dave) Gildemeister of Murrysville, PA, and Roberta (Dan) Oveson of Lakeville, MN, son, James (Christy) Leonhardt of Spearfish, two brothers, Donald Phillips and Darrell (Shari) Phillips both of Aberdeen and 12 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter (Rochelle), two grandchildren (Makenzie & Carter Leonhardt), her parents and one brother (Raymond).

Funeral services will be at 4:00pm, Saturday, November 5, 2016 at Hillsview Church of the Nazarene in Spearfish, burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Spearfish. Visitation will begin at 2:00pm and continue until the time of the service at the church on Saturday.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to benefit the Global Foundation for Peroxisomal Disorders.
