Dennis King, 70, Newcastle, WY passed away August 1, 2016 surrounded by family, following a lengthy illness.

Dennis Ray King was born June 15, 1946 in Huron, SD to Donald and Florence (Cable) King. He was number 3 of 13 children. He attended Bothwell Country School and graduated from Wessington High School in 1965. After High School Dennis worked in Aberdeen, SD for Hub City Music and Vending.

On June 14, 1969 he married Brenda Edinger in Highmore and moved to Deadwood, SD where he worked for Black Hills Novelty. In 1979, he moved to Newcastle, WY where he worked for Atlantic Richfield, retiring in 1999.

Dennis had several interests and hobbies including fly fishing and tractor pulls with his brother "Bub" and a great a love of the outdoors. He was a car enthusiast spending hours reading car magazines. He was especially fond of Mini Coopers and Corvettes and other vehicles as long as they weren't a Ford. He loved home cooked meals, especially meatloaf and homemade pies.

Dennis is survived by siblings, Sandra Beerman, Huron; Connie Schroeder, Sioux Falls/Newcastle; Kathy O'Connor, Belle Fourche; Patricia (Steve) Brown, Fort Pierre; Ron (Cindy) King, Belle Fourche; Sherry (Robert) Lichty, Wessington; Kevin (Cody) King, Belle Fourche; Janelle (David) Zerfoss, Wessington; several nieces and nephews and special friends, Brenda King and Curtis Card, Spearfish. He was preceded in death by his parents, Don and Florence King; brothers, Robert, Gene, Keith; sister, Debbie; and brothers-in-law, Tom Beerman and Mike O'Connor.

Dennis' request was to be cremated and a headstone placed in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Spearfish, SD.

A celebration of his life will be held at the Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel on September 17, 2016 at 11:00.
