Dennis Reinhold Ehresmann was born on May 16, 1945, to Reinhold and Lucille Ehresmann in Wagner, South Dakota. He was the oldest of four children. Dennis, David, Sandra, and Donna. Dennis passed away May 16, 2025, on his 80th birthday at home after suffering from cancer. Dennis attended country school and Wagner, South Dakota. He had to quit school when his dad broke his arm, so he could help on the farm until he was drafted in 1968. Once he returned home, he met and married Bonnie Honomichl to this union two children were born, Jason and Sarah. Dennis's heart was in farming until he and his dad decided to quit. After about a year of driving over the road he moved his family to Moorcroft in 1981.

Most of his working years were at the Caballo Mine, where he retired after 15 years. Thankful for having shared his life of 56 years are his wife Bonnie, his son Jason and daughter Sarah (Sonny) Merchen. The love of his life were his three grandkids. Alyssa, Bryce, and Cailyn. His dream was to see his oldest (Alyssa) graduate college but just missed it by one day. He had the best seat in the house! Dennis is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Sandra, three brothers-in-law, a sister-in-law, grandparents, and numerous aunts and uncles.

Cremation arrangements were under the care of Isburg Crematory of Spearfish.
