Dennis Richard Bridenstine, 67, of Lead, SD passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at the VA Community Living Center, Fort Meade, SD.

Dennis was born August 16, 1957, to Marilyn Friese in Mitchell, SD.  In 1958 when Marilyn married Howard Bridenstine, Dennis was adopted as Howard's son.  Dennis attended Lead-Deadwood High School and graduated in 1975.

Dennis married Nancy (Nelson) Charles on September 13, 1992.  Through this union, Dennis became the stepdad to Nancy's only son Charles Charles, Jr.

In Dennis' younger years, he loved fishing and playing with snakes.  He has always had a great love for music, especially rock and roll.  Most of all he enjoyed sitting by his fire pit at his home on Maitland Road which he shared with many cherished pets over the years.

Dennis is survived by his stepson, Charles (Kristie) Charles, Jr., grandchildren, Georgie and Tripp of Spearfish; mother, Marilyn Bridenstine and his brother, Dan (Renee) Bridenstine of Lead. He was preceded in death by his dad, Howard "Howie" Bridenstine and his sister, Debra Martz.

A graveside service will be held at 10AM, Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Deadwood, SD.
