Dolores C. Weingart, 73, of Spearfish, SD, formerly of Newell, SD, died Thursday, April 30, 2009 at Dorsett Regional Senior Care.
Vigil services will begin at 7:00p.m. on Thursday, May 7, 2009 at Saint Joseph's Catholic Church in Spearfish, with visitation at the church for one hour prior to the services.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00a.m. on Friday, May 8, 2009 at the church, with Father Tim Hoag officiating, burial will follow at Hope Cemetery in Newell.
Memorials will be given to Dorsett Regional Senior Care and Hospice of the Northern Hills.
Dolores was born in Chicago, IL, on July 26, 1935 to John and Julie Kucan. She grew up in Chicago and married Raymond Weingart on November 1, 1952. They made their home and started their family in Chicago. The family moved to a farm near Newell, SD, in 1969. Throughout the years Dolores worked at various jobs in the area. The couple moved into Newell after retirement. Dolores moved to Spearfish two years ago.
Dolores loved to bowl and participated in national bowling tournaments. She also enjoyed playing cards, golfing, knitting, traveling and board games, especially Scrabble. She loved to spend time with family and friends and adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Dolores is survived by her children; Raymond (Chris) Weingart of Chandler, AZ, Maryann (Greg) Bohls of Spearfish, and Theresa (Rick) Fox of Hermosa, SD, one brother Walter (Judy) Kucan of Chicago, IL, 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Dolores was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond, one son, John in infancy and two brothers, John Kucan and Joe Kucan.
