DeLores Ann (Gallivan) Comack, 97, Spearfish, SD died on June 28, 2023, at Burr's Tender Care under the watchful eye of Aileen Burr and her family of caregivers.

DeLores was born in Elgin, ND on March 26, 1926, to Hildegard Stoller and John Gallivan.

DeLores moved to Spearfish in 1943 and graduated from Spearfish High School in 1944.  After high school she attended The National School of Business in Rapid City and worked for the Sears Order Office in Rapid City until her parents moved to Spearfish in 1946.  She then worked at the J.C. Penney Store and Johnson's Bakery in Spearfish until November 28, 1953, when she married Walter Comack.  She and Walter met at a dance in Sundance, WY on October 7, 1953, and were married for 53 years.  Walter worked for the U.S. Geological Survey and his job required them to move throughout the United States 56 times in 23 years.

DeLores was very social, loved people and enjoyed entertaining in the home she and Walter built on the creek in Spearfish.  She belonged to PEO, Beta Sigma Phi, Red Hatters and Cornet Club.  DeLores has been a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Spearfish since 1943.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and her brother, Delano.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 AM on Thursday, July 6, 2023, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Spearfish with a Rosary beginning at 10:00 AM.  Burial will follow at Rosehill Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial may be sent to St. Jude Children's Hospital, PO Box 1000, Dept 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142 or www.stjude.org/give/memorials-and-dedications.html
