Obituary

Deidra “Dee” L. (Heltibridle) Larson, 78, passed away on May 28, 1926 in Paris TN.

Born September 28, 1947 in Whitewood, SD to Donald and LaEtta (Fillmore) Heltibridle, she grew up in Deadwood, SD and graduated from Deadwood High School in 1965.

After high school, Deidra attended Black Hills State College, before meeting her husband Larry after he followed her home. They were married in September 1968 at Grace Lutheran Church in Deadwood before moving to Minneapolis, MN. They were blessed with three children, and lived in Elk River, MN for almost 30 years.

Deidra earned her Accounting Degree at North Hennepin Community College and Saint Cloud State University and then her CPA. She worked for Saraha Investment for more than 20 years. She moved back to the Black Hills in 2009 and worked at the Black Hills Mining Museum in Lead after retiring from tax preparation.

She is survived by children Dawnette (Thomas) Boyd of St. Francis, MN, Eric Larson of Paris, TN, and Jeremy Larson of Becker, MN; grandsons Hunter (Olivia) Larson, and Lukas Larson; sisters JoEtta, Sulaine, & Paula, bonus sister Marie, and brother Donny; sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.

Deidra was preceded in death by her husband Larry in 2001, parents Donald and LaEtta, in-laws Walter and Erma Larson, and brother Dallas.

Funeral services will be held on June 9th at 10:30am at Grace Lutheran Church in Deadwood, SD. Internment will be at 1:00 pm at Black Hills National Cemetery in Sturgis, SD.
