Deena Parnell, 53 of Hulett, WY passed away on January 14, 2012 at her home after a
courageous battle with cancer.

Memorial Services will be at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 21, 2012 at the Greater Hulett Community Center in Hulett.

Deena was born on October 29, 1958 in Gillette, WY to Glenn and Frances (Shaw) Groves. She attended and graduated from Campbell County High School. On May 23, 1977 she married Ross Wayne Parnell and together they had two children (Melissa and Lee). They lived in Gillette until 1985, and then they moved to Hulett and opened the Hulett Hardware Store.

She was a 4-H leader in leather craft and horses. Deena loved riding horses and going for rides in their MGB Sports car. She was really proud of her four grandchildren. Deeena will be remembered most of all for her sense of humor, hard work, and loved to play jokes on people.

Deena is survived by her husband Ross Wayne Parnell, Hulett, WY; daughter Melissa (Craig) Fisher, Windsor, CO; son Lee (Angela) Parnell, Hobbs, NM; grandchildren Megan and John Fisher and Joseph and AJ Parnell; parents Glenn and Frances Groves, Hulett, WY; sisters Deborah (Darrell) Odegaard, Egeland, ND and Dorothy (Duane) Southworth, Gillette, WY and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
