Dean Michael Williamson, 57 of New Town, ND passed away on May 25, 2026 at his home. He was born on August 31, 1968 in Sturgis, SD to Don and Deanna (Peldo) Williamson. He grew up in Piedmont, SD, where he was tenderly cared for before he found the love of his life Carmen Ren'e Wheeler. They were married in 1987 and began their life together in the Black Hills. Through their many moves and journeys they were carried with love by many Christian friends. Dean's unique ability to see things differently enabled him to enjoy his various working experiences, beginning with the timber industry as well as trucking and various jobs in the oilfields. They were blessed with eight children along the way and 28 grandchildren. With the unwavering love and help of his dear wife, family, and others he was able to reach his victory trusting in the grace of God and the forgiveness of sins. He was a lifelong member of the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church. Where he along with his wife endeavored to uphold the doctrine of Christ and His apostles, and fastened the hearts of their children to the living Christianity.
Dean is survived by his wife Carmen of 39 years; children: Dean (D'Ann Massie) Williamson of Kalispell, MT; DeVona (Tad) Rosenlund of Sheridan, WY; LaVana (Brett) Blakeman of Marengo, WI; Michael (Alyssa Hiivala) Williamson of Yacolt, WA; Spencer Williamson of New Town, ND with his wife to be (Sela Redinger); Karma (Marty) Hiivala of Woodland, WA Kara (Dylan) Sarkinen of Delano, MN, and Brielle Williamson at home; 28 grandchildren; his parents Don and Deanna Williamson; siblings: Doug (Lynette), Lorrie, LaDonna (Jeff), Donovan (Colleen), Donahue (Trina), LaVee (Ryan), Lana (Jason), Donald (Linnea), and Deanna (Dolls).
He was proceeded in death by grandparents Bud and Gladyce Williamson, and Arvo and Katherine Peldo, and his baby sister Deanna.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church in Spearfish, SD. Visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Cemetery in Spearfish.
