David Joseph Taggart, 16 of Spearfish passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at his home.

David was born on August 15, 2006, to Joy Fousek and Nickolas Taggart in Spearfish.

He spent his time in the outdoors, hunting for rocks, boating, fishing, listening to music, and gaming.  He was a brilliant child, hard-working with a redneck style.  He loved playing with children and his cats and was loved by all who met him.

He is survived by his grandpa David Fousek, who he lived with, of Spearfish; father Nick Taggart of Cheyenne; mother Joy Fousek of Laramie; brother Chance and his father Alex of Lander; aunts and uncles Tobias (Kim) of Spearfish, Tina (Dano) of Rapid City, Josh of Brooking, TJ of Lander, Natasha (James) of Spearfish; grandma Melodie of Rapid City; grandpa Jarrell (Tracy) of Rapid City and numerous cousins.  He is preceded in death by his grandma Sonia Taggart; aunt Tonya White; great-grandparents Fousek, great-grandparents Taggart, great-grandparents Donner, and great-grandparents Cracco.

Graveside services for family and friends will be October 5, 2022, at 1:00 PM at the Bell Park Cemetery in Rochford, SD.
