David James Erskin, 69 of Spearfish, SD went home to be with the Lord on August 5, 2018.

David was born in Trentum, PA to James and Sally Erskin on July 16, 1949. He married Peggy on February 17, 1970 in Denver, CO. He graduated from Southwestern College in May of 1978 in Waxahachie, TX. He pastored at Bonesteel Assembly of God for 16 years. Then started his own company, Erskin Construction in Spearfish, SD. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and served in the US Army. He was an active member of Countryside Community Church as a member of the worship team. He also served on the board of the Women's Pregnancy Care Center.

David is survived by his wife, Peggy; sons, Daniel (Julie) Erskin, of Spearfish and Todd (Jamie) Erskin of Hot Springs. Dave loved his grandchildren Dalton, Daesha, Robert, James and Teagan.

Memorial services will be at 11:00 AM on August 10, 2018 at Countryside Community Church. Burial will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis.
