David A. Dunwoody, 34 of Spearfish died April 17, 2016 in Spearfish.
David was born July 4, 1981 to Dick and Terri (Schad) Dunwoody in Spearfish.
He was raised and attended school in Spearfish, graduating from Spearfish High School in 2000. While in school David enjoyed playing baseball and was very proud to be a member of the Spearfish Teener Baseball Championship team. Those were glorious days for him and all his baseball buddies.
David then attended and graduated from Mount Marty College in Yankton, SD. He enjoyed the summers working in Alaska, catching Alaskan King Salmon with his friends, Chummy and Ashley; it was there that he was the happiest, in his own words. David was an avid Dodger fan and also enjoyed golfing with his dad, brother and his friends. Camping and fishing with his sister, brother and brother's family were special times. He was looking forward to spending time with his friend Matt and his family, who recently moved back to Spearfish.
David was a kind, sweet, gentle and caring person and will be greatly missed by all that knew him.
