It is with profound sadness that we share the news of the loss of our husband and father, David. An untimely and devastating stroke took Dave from us; he passed on the evening of Wednesday, March 21st, at the age of 60, surrounded by his loving family. We are stunned and heartbroken beyond words by this tragedy, but he is now free from all pain and suffering, and for that we are deeply grateful. He spent his last days happily tinkering in his garage and pulling his grandson around in his sled, memories we will cherish forever.
Dave was born to Samuel and Angeline (Sifnotis) Brenneisen in Oak Park, IL on December 9, 1957. He was married to Jayne for 30 years, and together they raised two children, Melody and Gardner. He worked as a forester for Spearfish Forest Products (formerly Pope & Talbot) for 35+ years and retired in 2016 to become a full-time road tripper and grandfather to William David. He and Jayne resided in Spearfish, SD. He was known among his family, friends, and coworkers for his intelligence and deep wisdom, his quiet wit, and his hardworking, steadfast nature. Dave is mourned by his family, his two siblings and their families, and countless lifelong friends.
Please join us for a celebration of Dave's life on Wednesday, March 28th, at 4:00 in the afternoon at Spearfish United Methodist Church.
