Darlene Rae Wahl, 66, Spearfish, SD
Darlene Rae Wahl passed away September 16, 2011 at her home in Spearfish. Darlene was born February 4, 1945 to Harry and Helen (Hoyt) Anderson in Dupree, SD. She was raised at the family homestead at Glad Valley where she attended country school, before moving to Spearfish, where she completed her high school years, graduating from Spearfish High School. Darlene worked at several assisted living centers and nursing homes over the years, most recently working at David M. Dorsett Healthcare Center in Spearfish.
Darlene is survived by her daughters, Rhonda Wahl, Pierre, SD and Pam (Todd) Waagmeester, Sioux Falls, SD, granddaughter Hailey Waagmeester, Sioux Falls; siblings Clifford(Joan) Anderson, Spearfish, Gertrude (Emil) Tomac, Lemmon, Ruth Roesler, Mobridge, Ann Hodges, Benson, AZ, Alice Hodges, Spearfish, Gladys (David) Zulauf, Rapid city and Mary Herber, Spearfish. She is also survived by her uncle Dan (Dorothy) Hoyt, Winona, MN and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, sister Rozella Anderson; brothers David Anderson and Roy Anderson.
Visitation for Darlene will be 5-7 PM Thursday, September 22, 2011 at Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel in Spearfish. Funeral Services will be at 11AM, Friday, September 23, 2011. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Spearfish.
