Daniel James Godwin , age 54, died at Crook County Hospital, in Sundance Wyoming on July 8, 2023.

He was born June 13, 1969,  in Stuttgart, Germany to Richard (Joann) Godwin and was raised by his mother, Chris Godwin. Daniel grew up in Michigan with his brother, Scott and step-siblings, Troy, Joanna, Michael, and Jeff. In 1998 he moved to Loveland, Colorado, where he would meet and marry Lisa Marie Houle. Last year, the family moved to Wyoming. Together, Daniel and Lisa spent almost 14 years together raising his two daughters, Abigail Rose and Elizabeth Tamar Godwin.

Daniel, also known by his nickname "Bubba". was an avid gamer, dart player and even wrote his own tabletop role playing game. Most of all, Daniel lived for Jesus and loved sharing the word, giving advice and helping friends or family any way he could.

He is survived by his wife, Lisa Godwin, along with his daughters, Abigail Godwin of Gillette, and Elizabeth Godwin of Sundance. He is also survived by his mother, father, siblings, nieces, cousins and many friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lia Nicole. Daniel will be deeply missed.
