Dan loved the Black Hills. He enjoyed the scenery, the weather, and the amazing hiking trails. He called the Black Hills his beautiful backyard.  Phone conversations could last 2 or more hours and cover a wide range of topics. His favorite was when we reminisced about growing up in Roscoe, SD. He had such a great memory.
