IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Cynthia "Cindy"
Dillman
April 18, 1962 – May 28, 2024
Cynthia "Cindy" Dillman, born April 18, 1962, in Lead, South Dakota, passed away peacefully in her home on May 28, 2024. Raised in the nurturing embrace of her parents, Edward and Shirley Watt, alongside her three brothers and one sister, Cindy's upbringing in Lead was marked by warmth, laughter, and an insatiable curiosity for the world around her. She graduated from Lead/Deadwood High School in 1975, where her aptitude for mathematics shone brightly, often solving complex equations effortlessly in her head.
At the tender age of 18, Cindy married her beloved Duane Dillman, and together they welcomed their son Jeridan into their lives. Tragically, Cindy was widowed at an early age due to a mining accident, facing adversity with unwavering strength and determination.
In time, Cindy found solace and companionship in the arms of Felix Mehia. Their union blessed them with two more children, and together they navigated life's challenges with grace and resilience, instilling in their children a deep sense of empowerment and love. Despite the hardships, trials, and tribulations, they raised the family with a rare grace that embraced all of life's challenges. Seamlessly empowering their children down successful paths of Heavy Equipment Operator, Computer Automation Design Architect, and Cyber Defense Engineer, but most of all embodying the love that was shown to them as parents themselves. She is survived by her children Jeridan (Twyla) of Sturgis, SD, Joshua (Danielle) of Mankato, MN, and daughter Jessie (Matthew) of Pasadena, MD. Her spouse, Felix, and sister, Laurie (Loren), also survive her. Her grandchildren, Jasmine, Leah, Keaton, Layton, Kadden (Gracie), Kashton, Zadyx, Rhoan, and NoriMae, were the light of her life.
Cindy had a profound love for dogs and found immense joy in the companionship they provided. Her home was always filled with the playful energy of her furry friends, whom she adored like family.
While Cindy cherished the beauty and tranquility of the beach, she had an aversion to the vastness of the ocean itself. Nevertheless, with her adventurous spirit, Cindy explored the world with gusto, traveling to destinations such as Hawaii, Cancun, the Bahamas, and several other states. Each journey enriched her life with new experiences and cherished memories but the sandy shores held a special place in her heart, where she enjoyed countless moments of serenity and reflection.
In her reunion with her parents and brothers in the afterlife, Cindy is sure to bring her trademark humor, love, and zest for life. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know her.
A celebration of Cindy's life will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday, the 4th of June, at the Lead-Deadwood Memorial Chapel, 80 Dunmire Dr, Lead, SD 57754, United States. Friends and family are invited to join in honoring her memory and sharing stories of her remarkable life.
