Courtney Joy Campbell Dixon, 67, of Sundance, Wyoming, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2025.

Courtney was born on April 4, 1958, in Glendale, California, to James and Dixie Campbell. The family later moved to Fremont, California, where she grew up. Courtney enjoyed an active life and loved dune buggying, water skiing, snow skiing, and camping. She attended school and earned her cosmetology certificate and later worked in her father’s chiropractic office at the front desk.

On December 17, 1983, Courtney married Michael Dixon. Together they lived in Livermore and Elk Grove, California, before settling in a place Courtney truly loved—Sundance, Wyoming. She was excited to become part of the Sundance community and embraced everything Wyoming life had to offer. Courtney especially enjoyed spending time with friends at The Turf Bar and Lounge, playing darts, watching pool, and socializing.

She is survived by her husband, Michael Dixon; their daughters, Christie and Kelly Dixon; and their grandchildren, John Dixon, Cassie Dixon, and Owen Phipps. She is also survived by her father, James R. Campbell and his wife, Beth; her mother, Dixie Campbell; her sister and brother-in-law, Renee and Terry Smith; and her brother and sister-in-law, Rod and Wendy Campbell.

Courtney will be remembered for her kindness, humor, fun-loving spirit, and deep love for her family.

In accordance with her wishes, no funeral service or memorial will be held. Courtney will be greatly missed and never forgotten by all who loved her and were loved by her.
