Colleen Cadieux was born on January 27, 1927 in Detroit, Michigan to James and Naoma (Hanna) Winjum, and went to her heavenly home on February 29, 2012 in Spearfish, SD.

She graduated from Washington High School in Sioux Falls, SD and attended Augustana College. In 1948, she married Clifford Henjum in Sioux Falls, and together, they had four children. She worked as a secretary at Ford Signs, Sioux Falls Builder's Exchange, Patrick Henry Junior High and Axtell Park Junior High. She married Ken Cadieux in 1978 in Sioux Falls and moved to Rapid City, SD where they ran antiques and crafts businesses. She and Ken spent many months RVing in the southern states and Mexico.

She was a member of the Spearfish United Methodist Church and PEO, for which she served as SD State President in 2001. She loved swing dancing, crocheting and sewing clothes for her children and Christmas stockings for her family and friends. Adored by her children, grandchildren and friends, her loving kindness, beauty and generous heart will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her children, Mark & Georgann, Henjum, St. Paul, MN; Linda Henjum, Omaha NE; Holly Henjum & Sheila Joyce, St. Paul; Colleen & Scott McKirdy, Spearfish; her grandchildren, Lincoln & Sara Henjum, El Paso, TX; Lindsay & Brian Bates, Ames, IA; David Henjum, Omaha; Grace McKirdy, Milwaukee, WI; Emma McKirdy, Indianola, IA; Jack Joyce-Lynch, St. Paul; John Henjum, St. Paul; Ann Henjum, St. Paul; her extended Cadieux Family; and her cats, Aggie & Purrlie.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Clifford , in 1986, and Ken, in 1996, and her son, Bill, in 2002.

Funeral Services will at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, March 5, 2012 at the Spearfish United Methodist Church, with Pastor Gordon Higgins officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the Spearfish United Methodist Church and PEO-owned Cottey College.
