Col. Kerry M. Brady, MD, (United States Army, ret.), 68 of Belton, TX passed away on Monday, August 13, 2018 at Rapid City Regional Hospital in Rapid City, SD.
Kerry Brady was born in Rockville Center New York and lived his early years in New England, calling Barrington, Rhode Island his hometown. His family relocated to California in 1967, where he went on to attend Cal Poly, San Louis Obispo. Following graduation, Kerry was drafted and spent two years in the US Army. While stationed in San Francisco, he met his wife Cynthia, an Army nurse. In 1979, Kerry was commissioned to the Medical Service Corps, and later decided to attend medical school, graduating from Texas Tech University in 1990. He was then commissioned in the Army Medical Corps, serving until retirement in 2008. He continued to practice in the private sector until 2015.
Kerry is survived by his wife Cynthia, daughters Sara Fletcher (Aaron), Molly Brady, and Erin Brady, grandson Nathan Fletcher, and his sisters and brother.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, August 23, 2018, at Christ Church Episcopal in Lead, SD. Interment with full Military Honors will be at 2:00pm in Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis, SD.
Arrangements are under the care of the Lead-Deadwood Memorial Chapel in Lead.
