Clifford Sigdestad, 93, Spearfish, died on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at his home.
Clifford was born on January 23, 1921 in Galena, SD to Ivor and Emma (Oland) Sigdestad. He was raised in the Deadwood/Galena area and graduated from Lead High School in 1939. He grew up on the ranch, having various jobs until he went to work for Black Hills Power and Light. He ran the Kirk Power Plant as the head electrician retiring in 1983 after 32 years of service. He married his sweetheart Phyllis Charles in 1970 in Sturgis, SD.
He loved to tinker and fix things. He could never find anything that needed to be thrown away. He liked crossword puzzles, Sudoku, gardening and traveling though the Black Hills in the motor home.
He is survived by his stepsons, Robert (Linda) Anderson, Spearfish, and Duane (Julie) Anderson, Annandale, MN; nephews, Dennis (Dorothy) Winsell, Deadwood and Keith Winsell, Atlanta, GA; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 5, 2014 at Calvary Temple Assembly of God in Spearfish with visitation one hour prior to the service.
