Cletus D. Pfeiffer, 52, Gillette, WY, died Saturday, August 29, 2015 in a motorcycle accident near Gillette.
Cletus was born January 5, 1963 at Delta, CO to Gale and Joan (McCoy) Pfeiffer. He lived in Cedaredge, CO as a youngster, moving in the fourth grade to Marana, AZ. He lived there for several years, moving with his family to Roswell, NM, where he graduated from high school in 1981. Shortly after graduation, he married the love of his life, Barrie Staeden on November 5, 1981. Cletus worked in the oil fields around Roswell for a few years, and then went to work for the TMC Bus Company for 18 years. During this time, his three children were born; Shawn, Shannon and Sandra. In 2001, the family moved to Gillette, WY, where has resided since, working as a driller in the oil fields.
Cletus was an amazing man, very honest, who loved his family and taught them well. He had a great smile and saw the best in everyone.
Cletus is survived by his children, Shawn, Shannon (Christopher) Dinkel and Sandra (Aaron) Morris, all of Gillette; four grandchildren, Baylee, Cletus, Zoie, Cam; his mother, Joan Smith, Guthrie, OK; brother, Kurt Pfeiffer, Sweet Home, OR; sister, Lori Pfeiffer, Tucson, AZ; sisters-in-law, Carol and Dana; brother-in-laws, Scott and Evan and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barrie and father, Gale.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 12 Woolsey Peak Road, Gillette, on Friday, September 4, at 4 PM.
