Clara Teresa Schmidt, 88, Rapid City, SD died Friday, May 16, 2014 at the Belle Fourche Healthcare Center, Belle Fourche, SD.

She was born on November 24, 1925 to Andy and Susie (Parkinsky) Hando in Sundance, WY.

She was raised in the Sundance area, graduating from Sundance High School in 1943. Clara married Robert (Skip) Samuel Finch in 1944. They had three children; Robyn, Susan and Gary. After Skip passed away in 1952, she married William H. Schmidt in 1957.

Survivors include her two daughters, Robyn Finch, Sundance, WY, Susan Mohr, Maryville, TN; four grandchildren, Jeff Mohr, Robbie Mohr, Michelle Ramos and Malissa Alexander; along with five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by husbands Skip Finch and William H. Schmidt and son Gary Finch.

Memorial Services for Clara will be at 1:00 P.M. Thursday May 22, 2014 at Divine Shepherd Lutheran Church in Black Hawk, SD with Pastor Randy Sturzenbecher officiating. Inurnment will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis.

Arrangements are under the care of Fidler-Roberts & Isburg Funeral Chapel of Sundance.
