Obituary

Clair P. Sabo, 83 of Spearfish went to be with the Heavenly Father, Saturday, April 12, 2008 at his home is Spearfish.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, April 19, 2008 at the Hickory House, 430 Oriole Drive in Spearfish.

A memorial has been established to benefit Hospice of the Northern Hills.

Clair was born on March 5, 1925 to Ole and Olga (Peterson) Sabo at home on the ranch in Harding County, SD. He attended rural school at Jefferson School in South Dakota. Clair worked as a ranch hand and broke horses on various ranches in the Reva, SD area. He married A. Muriel Madsen on November 24th 1950. To this union three sons were born; Terry Dean, Thomas Clair and David Lynn. Clair attended barber's school in Denver, CO and worked as a barber in Lead, SD, before moving the family to Auburn, Washington where he worked as a barber in Kent, WA for several years. The family returned to South Dakota where he continued to barber and worked in construction.

Survivors include his wife Muriel Sabo of Spearfish and two sons, Terry (Vicki) Sabo of Auburn, WA and David (Leona) Sabo of Spearfish, six grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.

Clair was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers; Alonzo, Ivan and LeRoy, two sisters, Inez Miller and June Dobbyn and one son, Thomas.
