Christopher "Chris" John Baley, 40, Spearfish died on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at the William S. Middleton Memorial Veterans Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin.  He served in the US Navy and was one of the first over to Iraq.

Survivors include his fiancé, Darla Conroy; her children Katy and Ryan; mother, Denise Baley; brother, Cory Baley; father John Baley; grandparents, Janice Key, Marge and Ralph Baley and Jim and Bertha Anderson; uncle Scott (Kristin) Key and son, Nathan; aunt, Danette Bryant; aunt, Jessica Murray and her two children, uncle, Jamey Anderson, great-aunt, Loretta Endres; cousins, Clinton Covell and his daughters, Nevaeh and Morgan Nicole (Ray) Domurat, Elizabeth (Alexis) Novotny and her son, Loren, and numerous additional relatives.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, November 17, 2022 at the United Church of Christ in Spearfish.  Burial will follow at Black Hills National Cemetery with full military honors provided by the US Navy and the Spearfish Honor Guard.
