Carolyn Jean Miller, 70 of Sundance, was called home to her heavenly father on November 10, 2016, at Rapid City Regional Hospital.
Carolyn was born on June 12, 1946 in Hanna, WY to Richard and Frances Buckingham where she attended primary and secondary schools. After high school graduation, she attended the University of Wyoming earning a degree in Elementary Education. While at UW, she met James A. Miller who she later married on June 19, 1965.
Carolyn and James have resided in Sundance, WY since 1974 where they raised their two children Troy (Cathy) Miller of Boise, Idaho and Tara (Dan) Bunnell of Grand Junction, Colorado. While living in Sundance, Carolyn has been an active member of Mount Calvary Lutheran Church and ladies organization. She loved music, painting, teaching, spending time with her grandchildren, reading books, camping, watching the Broncos, and traveling with her husband James of fifty-one wonderful years.
She is survived by her husband; James, children; Troy and Tara, brothers; Larry and Jay, grandchildren; Logan and Hadyn Bunnell, Kelsey, Collin, and Paige Miller. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Buckingham and Frances Duffey, stepfather, Basil Duffey and her brother, John.

Visitation will be held Sunday, November 13th from 4:00 – 6:00 PM at Fidler-Roberts, & Isburg Funeral Chapel in Sundance, WY. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 14th at 10:00 AM at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church in Sundance, WY, with Pastor Norman Wacker. A graveside service will follow at Green Mountain Cemetery.
