Obituary

Carleton C. "Carl" Lafontaine, 54 of Anoka, MN, passed away on Friday, October 22, 2020 at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids, MN. He was born December 30, 1965, in Duluth, Minnesota to George Lafontaine and Rose (Hermanson) Johnson.

Carl was a very loving man. He graduated from Central High School in Duluth, MN. He enjoyed visiting with people, especially at work. At the time of his death he was employed by the VA Hospital.

Carl had a contagious laugh that brought a smile to many faces. He touched the lives of many people and will be missed dearly.

He is survived by his children, Breanna (Wyatt) Heidegger of Belle Fourche, SD, Zachary (Jennifer) of Belle Fourche, SD, Amanda (Thomas, III)Callies of Box Elder, SD, Patrick of Aladdin, WY, Andrew (Jordan) of Duluth, MN, and Trina (Jared) Lipe of Battle Ground, WA; his father, George Lafontaine of Duluth, MN; his siblings, Cheryl Lafontaine, Denise Repogle, George Lafontaine, Michelle (Thomas) Keenan, Tiffany (Mark) Lipe, and Sean (fiancé Jennifer) Lafontaine; ten grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

Carl was preceded in death by his son Alex "AJ" and his mother, Rose.

A private family funeral service will be held on Monday, November 2, 2020, at the Old Apostolic Lutheran Church in Spearfish, SD with interment to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Spearfish.

Arrangements are under the care of the Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapels and Isburg Crematory of Spearfish.
