Carla Rae Redinger-Bertalot (Dahl), 53, of Spearfish, SD, passed away peacefully on Wednesday March 14th, 2018 at Belle Fourche Healthcare Community in Belle Fourche, SD.

Carla was born on June 14th, 1964 to Margery Ann (Klosterman) Plaggemeyer and James William Redinger in Deadwood, SD. Carla went to elementary school in Deadwood and High School in Spearfish. Carla married Charles Wesley Bertalot in November 1982. They had three children Sonya, Danny and Tracy. They later divorced. Carla was engaged to Kevin Dahl, her spouse of 9 years.

Carla worked at Polk-A-Dots until 1989 where she began working at Millstone, formally Country Kitchen, as a waitress. Carla retired from Millstone in 2014 after 25 years of service. She worked at Cherry Berry part time shortly after that until 2016. Carla loved camping with her family at Orman Dam and having BBQ's on Sundays. She loved to garden, listen to country music, teaching her grandkids to bake, floating in her pool and playing cards. She enjoyed all of her time with family and watching cartoons with her grandkids. Carla would never say no. She always had an open door to anyone who needed it. She enjoyed watching Little House on the Prairie, Judge Judy, X-Factor and American Idol. Carla was a proud supporter of her daughter's participation in the Spearfish Ambulance Cadet Program with Spearfish Ambulance Service.

Carla is survived by her mother, Margery Plaggemeyer, Spearfish; fiancé, Kevin Dahl, Spearfish; daughters, Sonya (Don) Papousek, Lead and Tracy Harwood, Belle Fourche; son, Daniel (Tasha) Bertalot, Belle Fourche; Kevin's daughters, Emily Dahl, Rapid City, SD and Bethany (Taylor) Brock, Pierre, SD; her grandchildren, Landen and Micaylah Harwood, Belle Fourche, Dillon and Piper Papousek, Lead, Tessa, Bethanie and Riley Bertalot, Belle Fourche, and Tracen Brock Pierre; step-mother, Diane Redinger; brother, Terry Redinger, WA; niece, Danica Redinger, WA; numerous relatives; and her beloved Tika, her long time, spoiled, extra special cat.

She is preceded in death by her dad, James Redinger; step-dad, Richard (Dick) Plaggemeyer; grandparents, Fred and Delores Klosterman; grandparents Bill and Rachael Redinger; aunts and uncles Jerry and Ronald Klosterman; Donnie and Leonard Redinger; and Virginia Kamoni.
