Obituary

Bruce Gregory Redfield, 57, of Sundance passed away on August 20, 2016.

Bruce was born January 13, 1959 to Paul and Genevieve (Lucette) Redfield in Warner Robins, Georgia. Being the son of an Air Force father, he moved around the U.S. until finally settling down in Sundance and graduating from Sundance High School in 1977. After high school Bruce worked for the Forest Service and then the American Colloid Company. In December of 1980 he married Lorrie Coughlin and to this union were born Amber Marie in 1981 and Andrew Scott in 1984. In February of 1988 he found his calling as a Postmaster, where he touched the hearts of so many individuals who are better known as "his people". Also, during this time he took a job as an Assistant Coach for the Hulett basketball team where he coached for seven years, influencing the lives of the many players as well as their families.

Bruce loved spending every free minute he could with his children and grandchildren, who were the pride and joy of his life. His hobbies included riding his motorcycle, refereeing basketball, helping with the high school music events and following the Doobie Brothers. He was a people person and couldn't go anywhere without running into five to ten people he knew along the way, always stopping to chat and make them smile.

Bruce is survived by his mother, Genevieve of Sundance, WY; his sister, Sandra (Norman) Ward of Portland, OR; his daughter, Amber (Brandon) of Sundance, WY; his son, Andrew (Maria) of Gillette, WY; his four grandchildren; James Locke, Ayrabella Locke-Redfield, Jaxtin Redfield and Breck Redfield; and his girlfriend Gretchen Renner.

Bruce was preceded in death by his father, Paul of Sundance, WY; his brother, Gary of Sundance, WY; and his nephew, Justin Ward of Portland, OR.
