Born and raised in Spearfish, SD, Brendan grew up as a strong-willed young boy, who eagerly engaged in school sports such as wrestling and football. Years into his teens he developed a strong passion for everything that is motorized and fast. An engine could not be loud enough - a car could not be low enough. As a young adult he found great pleasure in attending concerts and car meets with friends & family, driving through the beautiful Spearfish Canyon on his motorcycle, creatively taking and editing photos of his cars or spending time alone building impressive Lego creations. One of Brendan`s great joys in life were discovering treasure-hunt hot wheels, which shows his appreciation for the little things in life. When he wasn`t working hard at either of his jobs, he would spend time at home with his kitties, girlfriend, family and friends. Brendan is a beloved son, brother, grandson, uncle, friend and car enthusiast who will be deeply missed by so many.

In honor of Brendan Rebsom, the family is hosting a car/motorcycle cruise of a lifetime through the Spearfish canyon on Sunday 8/18/24. Everyone will meet at the mouth of the canyon in the parking lot at 2:30pm and departing at 3pm. The cruise will be led by Brendan's car and family and go up to Latchstring and turn around to come back down. The family will be throwing flowers out car windows at the memorial spot (between mile marker 21 and 22 on the right-hand side). Everyone else is more than welcome to do so. Following the cruise, there will be a celebration of life at the City Park in Spearfish tentatively at 4:30pm until around 6:30pm The family wants everyone to feel welcome to be a part of both or just one.
