Obituary

Bonnie Zeller, loving mother, sister, and devoted wife to Charles Zeller, passed away on July 11, 2012. She leaves behind her husband; brother, Dean (Pat) Schafer; children, Glenn (Kathy) Fillinger, Lynn Fillinger, Barbara Johnson, and Karen (Mike) Myers; grandchildren, Genya, Kara, Aaron, Ryan, and Michaela; and great grandchild, Brayden.

Bonnie was born on Oct 6, 1935 in Wray, Colorado. She grew up in Wray with her loving parents Lloyd and Maxine, her sister Edelle and her brother Dean. Although her sister tragically drowned early in Bonnie's life she held many fond memories close to her heart and passed these memories on to her family. Bonnie graduated from Wray High School and attended Colorado State Teachers College in Greeley, Colorado. Bonnie married Darrell Fillinger and eventually settled in Alliance Nebraska where they raised their four children; Glenn, Lynn, Barb and Karen. During these years Bonnie, in addition to being very involved in her children's numerous activities was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star, supported the local Job's Daughters organization by serving on the Guardian Council, and taught Sunday school at the United Methodist Church. Bonnie married Charles Zeller on August 17, 1985 and relocated to Wyoming. Bonnie's faith was a very important part of her life and she became a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints after her marriage to Chuck. Bonnie was very proud that she was able to serve a church temple mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and took great pleasure in sharing her teachings with newer members of her church. Bonnie's family and faith were very important to her and were the focus of her life.

Bonnie was a true angel on earth. Her warmth and compassion for everyone she came in contact with was a quality those who knew her admired. Bonnie looked for and found the good in people and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. Bonnie loved serving her Heavenly Father and it showed in her every act. She found true joy in supporting children, her church, and being with her friends and family. Bonnie was an accomplished pianist and played for her church, taught piano lessons, and found great pleasure playing music with her husband, Chuck. She was also an accomplished seamstress and made several girls dreams come true by making prom dresses that were beautiful and unique. One of her greatest accomplishments was sewing her daughter Karen's wedding dress. She also painstakingly made quilts for each of grandchildren's graduation gifts…these quilts will be treasured by her grandchildren for years to come. She also loved exploring the Black Hills and gold panning with her husband and family. Bonnie's warm, caring, compassionate heart touched many lives and she will be missed by many.

Family will receive friends Monday, July 16th from 4-6 PM at the Fidler-Roberts & Isburg Chapel in Sundance.
