Bonnie Ruth Unterseher, 83, of Lead, SD, died on Monday, June 21, 2010 at Sturgis Regional Senior Care.

Memorial service will be at 11:00 AM on June 25, 2010 at the Lead-Deadwood Memorial Chapel in Lead, SD. Burial will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Deadwood. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to South Dakota Service for the Blind.

Bonnie was born on September 3, 1926 to Howard and Cecile (Hack) Pierce in Crawford, NE. She attended school at Belmont, NE. On November 19, 1944 she married Alvin Fiester, and to this union seven children where born. They moved to Deadwood in 1955 and worked for FL Thorpe for 16 years. In 1969 she married Art Unterseher. In 1985 she moved to Rapid City and worked for Lanstrom's for 6 years. In 1991 Bonnie worked through Services for the Blind in Rapid City counseling people who are visually impaired. She was an active member of the Ladies Auxilary of the VFW in Deadwood.

Bonnie is survived by her husband Art, of Lead; seven children; Randy (Javon) Fiester, of Fruitdale; Bonita (Ed) Brown, of Rapid City; Candy (Dean) Villhauer, of Sturgis; Alva (Curt) Haugen, of Pukwana, SD; Vicki Greco, of Lead; Robyn Novotny, of Central City; Brenda Gabel, of Central City; 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, 5 brothers and 4 sisters.
