Obituary

Bonnie Cooper, 72, Sundance, Wyoming died Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at Crook County Long Term Care.

Bonnie was born on June 5, 1942 to Steven and Mary (Kadrmas) Ficek in Dickinson, ND. Steven died at a young age and her step-father, Charles Ralston helped raise her. She was raised in Dickinson, where she attended school. She moved to Wyoming in the mid 1960's where she has lived since. She was one of the first EMT's in Sundance. Bonnie worked various jobs in Sundance, before going to work for many years at the hospital.

She enjoyed her boxer dogs and many trips to Deadwood. She married Ed Cooper on January 26, 2000 in Sundance. The most important things in her life were Ed, her children and her family.

She is survived by her husband, Ed, Sundance; children, Kimberly (Jim) Durfee of Sundance, Kelly Traylor, Todd Chatfield (Jennifer Kennedy) and Tate Chatfield, all of Moorcroft; four grandchildren, three great- grandchildren, three step great-grandchildren and one step great-great grandchild; brother, Francis Ficek of Sturgis, SD and sister, LaVonne Mischel of Dickinson, ND. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her step-father.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M., Friday, August 1, 2014 at Fidler-Roberts & Isburg Funeral Chapel, Sundance, Wyoming with visitation one hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to the Sundance EMT Services.
