Bob Donner, 74, of Upton WY passed away November 12th, 2009 at Rapid City Regional Hospital.

Memorial Services will be held at the Upton United Methodist Church on Wednesday, November, 18th 2009 at 11:00 A.M.

Bob was born in Gillette, WY, on February 10th, 1935 to Dora and Charley, Donner and raised in Rozet, WY. He was one of six children and a direct descendent of the Donner Party. Bob enlisted in the army in 1952 and served his country for four years. He was stationed in Germany and discharged in Fort Ord, CA. While serving in the Army he married the love of his life, Dolores Dewitt, on February 21st 1955 in Deadwood, SD.

Bob work for a short time at Boeing in Seattle, WA, before returning home to WY. He rough necked and drove truck for Young, Exeter, Materi, and Hart Patrol. He also drove bus to the coal mine. Along the way he developed life long friendships. Bob also enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, gardening, and his birds, spending time with his family and morning round table coffee buddies. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Dolores, three sons; Rick Donner of Upton, Kenny (Bambi) Donner of Casper and Robert "Bip" (Jolene) Donner of Kalispell, MT, daughter, Cheryl Mendez of Moses Lake, WA, eight grandchildren; Rocky, Curtis, Jason, Tomas, Uriah, Keisha, Naomi and Kati, several great grandchildren; brother, Gary (Cloma) Donner of Upton, sister Evenly O'Donnell of Failer, ID and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Melvin and Dale and sister Dorothy.

Bob generously chose to give the gift of life by being an organ donor.
