Billie June Fillmore, 88 of Spearfish SD passed away May 20, 2018 in Spearfish, SD.

Billie June was born in Winner, SD on October 18, 1929. Her parents were W.O. and Lillian Fillmore. She was the third of five children.

Her family moved to Spearfish in 1932. Billie attended grade school, high school and then studied at Black Hills State College.

She met her husband Richard Bradshaw at the Days of 76 celebration in 1948. Together they had four children Michael, Patrick, Kathleen and Callie. They were in the mining and oil business which took the family to various states including WY, CO, KY and OH and settled in Spearfish.

In 1974, Billie June married Gilbert Bruns of Spearfish. They made their home in Tempe, Arizona. While living in AZ she earned her Real Estate license and attained "Realtor of the Year" in 1974. Billie was known for her generosity she forfeited many of her commissions to put young families in their homes.

Her hobbies included bowling which she achieved many 200 games. She was an avid golfer. Her father W.O. Fillmore passed down the passion for panning gold on Potato Creek where you could find Billie on warm summer days in search of gold nuggets.

Her last residence was her beautiful redwood cabin at Fillmore Mine.

Billie June is survived by her son, Michael Bradshaw of Spearfish and daughter, Callie Thompson of Phoenix, AZ; grandchildren, Michael, Michaela and Clayton Bradshaw, Jamie and Jason Thompson; ten great-grandchildren; siblings, LaEetta Heltibridle of Sturgis, SD and Sarah Buittner of Spearfish. She was preceded in death by her parents, W.O and Lillian Fillmore; sister, Lineal Falk; brother, Charles Fillmore, son, Patrick Bradshaw and daughter, Kathleen Bradshaw.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 am on June 9, 2018 at the United Church of Christ in Spearfish. Inurnment will take place at a later date.
