Beverly Christianson-Bell, 75, Sturgis, formerly of Moorcroft, WY, died Sunday October 27, 2013 at Lead-Deadwood Regional Hospital in Deadwood.
Visitation will be from 5-7pm, Friday, November 1, 2013 at Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel in Spearfish.
Funeral services will be at 1:00pm, Saturday, November 2, 2013 at the United Methodist Church in Sturgis, 1755 Ball Park Rd., Sturgis, SD, 57785. Burial will take place at the Moorcroft Cemetery, Moorcroft, WY.
A memorial has been established to benefit Hospice of the Northern Hills, 1440 North Main Street, Spearfish, SD 57783.
Beverly "Bev" was born in Larimore, ND on August 21, 1938 to Anford and Evelyn Jenstead. She moved with her family to Antler, ND, where she was raised. Following graduation from high school, Bev married Kenneth Christianson, together they had three children; Alan, Blaine and Kevin. The family spent about three years in Washington, but lived mostly in North Dakota and Wyoming, where they were employed in the oil industry. Her husband, Kenneth passed away in 1979. Shortly thereafter Bev moved to Minot, ND. In November of 2011, she moved to Sturgis to be near her family. Bev enjoyed gardening and keeping the birds and squirrels well fed. She enjoyed spending time with her family and playing games with her friends, and always had time for coffee, whether among friends or strangers
Bev is survived by her sons; Alan (Becky) Christianson of Spearfish and Kevin (Connie) Christianson of Moorcroft, one brother, Terry Jenstead of Moorhead, MN, six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, Kenneth Christianson and James Bell, son, Blaine and sister, Phylis.
