Betty Rose Tucker, 81 of Spearfish, SD, died Sunday, January 24, 2016 at Spearfish Regional Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30am, Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Spearfish with burial to follow at Black Hills National Cemetery near Sturgis.
A memorial has been established to benefit Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Spearfish.
Betty was born to May 11, 1934 to Arthur and Florence (Lancaster) Trudeau in Hot Springs, SD. She was raised in Jefferson, SD and Sioux City, IA, where she attended schools. The family moved to Custer, SD, where, Betty met and later married Thomas Shultz on June 13, 1953. The couple made their home in the Lead/Deadwood area, until moving to Spearfish in 1977. Betty's husband, Thomas passed away in 1985. She married John L. Tucker in 1986.
Betty was an avid bowler and loved doing all kinds of crafts, especially; plastic canvas, embroidery, counted cross stitch, crocheting, tatting and knitting, which she shared with everyone. She also enjoyed camping and helping others.
Betty is survived by her son, Kim Shultz, brother, Al (Barb) Trudeau of Florida, two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two nieces, five nephews, three step-children, eleven step-grandchildren, five step-great grandchildren and three step-great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husbands.
