Bessie May Hahn 93, passed away January 4, 2016 in Rapid City, SD.
She was born to Everett and Sophia (Rathburn) Woods October 12, 1922 in Moorcroft, WY. Doctor C.K. Stevens was the attending physician.
Bessie attended the Hahn rural school and graduated from the Campbell County High School in 1941. She married Juel Hahn, June 18, 1941 and they made their home on the ranch at Oshoto. They had three children, Anne, Judy and Jim. They divorced in 1970 and Bessie moved to Sundance. Later she moved to Spearfish.
Bessie loved to travel and learn from the great artists as she became an excellent artist in oil paintings. She settled in later years in McAllen, TX. When Alzheimer's began to take its toll she moved to Rapid City SD into Westhills Village.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy McCullough; her son, Jim Hahn; her granddaughter, Ginger Gerstner and her great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Anne; her parents and her brother, Bill Woods.
Funeral service for Bessie May Hahn will be 1:00 P.M. Thursday, January 7, 2016 in Moorcroft, WY, at the LDS Church. Interment will be at the Pine Grove Cemetery at Oshoto.
