Bernice L. Thompson, 99 of Sundance, Wyoming died Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at Crook County Memorial Nursing Home in Sundance.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, August 8, 2011 at Bellefontaine Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri.
Bernice was born September 17, 1911 to Hiram Walter and Maude Lenore Blankenship. She was raised in Pocahontas, Arkansas and St. Louis, MO. She married Frank Thompson in St. Louis. Bernice worked for Famous Barr, later known as Macys for many years. She moved to Sundance in 2003 to be near family.
Survivors include her sister, Marceline Cliver and brother-in-law, The Reverend Stanley C. Cliver of Sundance, WY; son, Jerry Thompson of Santa Monica, CA; step grandchildren, Terry, Marilyn, Heidi, Patricia, Barbara and Maureen; step-great-grandchildren, Jennifer, Andy , Jordan, Jared and Jacob; nephews, Greg and Keith Cliver; niece, Marcia Ann Blakeman; grand-nieces, Kendra, Kelsey, Karlie, Madison and grand-nephew Matthew.
She was preceded in death by her husband, grandson, Craig Thompson, three step-sons; Roy, Wesley and Jim Thompson and step-daughters, Joy and Dorothy and nephew Noel Cliver.
