Obituary
Benjamin R Jones, 92 of Spearfish, passed away on December 28, 2015 at Spearfish Regional Hospital.
The youngest of six children born to George C. Jones and Ella Mae Jones at Rocky Point, Wyoming. He was inducted into the Army in February, 1943 serving in Africa, the Philippines and Italy. In 1946, he met Lois Evelyn Gray and married her and had four children together. They celebrated their 69th wedding anniversary on December 22, 2015. He started Jones Electric and Plumbing in Upton, Wyoming and owned that business until 2008 and then moved to Spearfish. He was very active in VFW, American Legion and put much time and energy into Veteran's Memorials in Upton and Spearfish. He was also active for many years as an EMT in Weston County WY.
He is survived by his wife Lois; daughters, Judy Jones, Joy Kreycik and Tammie Mathis; plus four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by one son, Russell, three sisters, Fern Craft, Georgia Dixon and Frances Smith and two brothers, Ed and Clifford.
Services are pending for the spring in Upton WY.
Arrangements are under the care of Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapels and Crematory Service of Spearfish.
