Beata Mary (Olheiser) Schwindt, 76, passed away on April 17, 2015 at her home in Deadwood, SD.
She was born April 29, 1938 on the family farm 14 miles southwest of Dickinson, ND, the daughter of George and Beata (Heidt) Olheiser. She had 15 brothers and sisters. In 1958, she married her loving husband of 56 years, Anton "Tony" Schwindt, and had four children. In 1962, the family moved from Dickinson, ND to Deadwood where Beata would later go to work for the Lead/Deadwood School in the cafeteria as the cook from 1971 to 1990. Beata enjoyed spending time with her family, sewing, quilting, crocheting, camping, cooking, traveling, working around the house and shopping. Beata was a loving wife, mother, grandma, and great-grandma with a heart that welcomed and loved everyone. She was deeply loved by her husband and family and will be severely missed but never forgotten.
Beata is survived by her loving husband Anton "Tony"; children, Eileen (Martin) Brosnahan, Lyle (Marla) Schwindt, Connie (Rob) Atkinson, and Larry (Lisa) Schwindt; grandchildren, John Brosnahan, Andrew Brosnahan, Kelsey (Mike) Harmon, Krista Schwindt (Alex Kelley), Kayla (Todd) Zenor, Robert (Alissa) Hopkins, Keri (Lonnie) Johnson, Nathan (Ashley) Atkinson, Chad Schwindt, Tyler Schwindt, Jennifer (Michael) Mitsos, Brandon (Toni) Larson; great-grandchildren, Paysen, Ayden, Jadyn, Stormy, Grace, Jason, Hayden, Eli, Kyla, Landon, Lance, Logan and more on the way; sisters, Barbara Weiler, Leona Reisenauer, Jean Frisbee and Cecelia Samson. She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Beata; brothers, Joe, Ralph, George, Christ, Tony and Al; sisters, Tillie Urlacher, Ida Kuntz, Rose Kitzan and Agnes Olheiser.
At her request private family services have taken place.
