Barbara Rae Williams, 87, passed away on October 12, 2024, at Edgewood Vista in Spearfish.

Barb was born in Miller, SD on June 15, 1937, to Woods and Gladys (Goeken) DuBois.  She was the middle child of three children.

In 1939, the family relocated to the Black Hills in the Terraville area.  They eventually made their home in Spearfish on DuBois Lane.

Barb attended Spearfish High School and graduated in 1955.  She married her high school sweetheart, Keith Williams, on November 24, 1954 in Spearfish.  Keith and Barb welcomed four children – twins, Steve and Stuart (1956), Brad (1957) and Trisha (1966).

Barb enjoyed going snowmobiling with Keith and spending time at the Tollgate cabin with family and friends.  She enjoyed cooking and baking.  Barb's passion was playing bridge and rarely missed an opportunity to play.

Barb worked along-side Keith at Williams Standard for 48 years completing all the accounting and bookwork for the business until she retired in 1996.   They spent time going to BHSU basketball games, baseball games and the occasional trip to Deadwood.    In 2021 Keith and Barb moved from the family home to Edgewood Vista.

She is survived by her children – Steve (Linda), Stuart (Linda), Brad (Lana) and Trisha, nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, brother-in-law, Lou Schmeltzer and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 67 years, Keith,  her parents, Woods and Gladys, sister,  Donna Schmeltzer, and brother,  Richard DuBois.

A Celebration of Barb's life will be at 10:00 am at the Snapper's Club in Spearfish on November 9, 2024.  Graveside services will be at 2:00 pm at Rose Hill Cemetery in Spearfish.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Western Hills Humane Society in Spearfish in Barb's memory.  She loved her Dobermans.
