Barbara Jean Sears, 79, of Belle Fourche, went to be with the Lord with her family by her side on June 26th, 2017.

Barbara was born October 16th, 1937 near Norris, SD to Oscar and Marjorie Greenough. She graduated from Bennett County High School in 1956. She received her teaching certificate from Black Hills Teaching College in 1958. Barbara married Robert Sears of Kadoka, SD on July 11th, 1959. Together they raised four children, Tonya, Travis, Tyon and Taz.

She is survived by her husband, Bob of Belle Fourche; children, Tonya Sears of Spearfish, Travis (Darlene) Sears of Spearfish, Tyon (Sheila) Sears of Piedmont and Taz (Kathy) Sears of Belle Fourche; four grandchildren, Nathan (Lindsey) Sears, Jessica MiHok, Madison Sears and Matthew Sears; and three great-grandchildren, Kaden Sears, Christopher Sears and Alexander MiHok; sister, Donna Greenough of Martin; brothers, Raymond (Joan) Greenough of Martin and Bill (Norma) Greenough of Oelrichs and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Laverne Clem and brother, Jesse Greenough.

She loved her family, flowers and faith.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at Fidler-Isburg Funeral Chapel in Spearfish, with visitation starting at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Spearfish.
