Obituary
Barbara R. Mason 84 of Lead passed away Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at the Lead-Deadwood Regional Hospital.
Barbara Rose Mason was born August 8, 1930 to Florence Richards in St. Paul, MN. She was married to Dorian Donald Mason on December 11, 1947. They lived in Lead and raised four children-Margaret, Bill, Norman, and Doreen. Barb worked as a nurse's aid at St. Josephs Hospital in Deadwood and at the Homestake Hospital in Lead. She then worked as a Homestake telephone operator until she retired. They then moved to Spearfish. Her husband Donald passed away in 2004. Barb moved back to Lead in 2012, and resided at Golden Ridge, until her passing.
She is survived by her children, Margaret (Gary) Specht of Jamestown, ND, Bill (Sally) Mason of Belle Fourche, Norman (Sharon) Mason of Lead and Doreen (Bob) Weiers of Lead; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
There will be no funeral services per Barbara's request.
Arrangements are under the care of Lead-Deadwood Memorial Chapel of Lead.
